Cane Roots Art Gallery partnered with Carty Fine Arts Studios to announce the first recipient of the Leo Carty Fine Art Scholarship Award. We are elated to announce the winner and recipient of a $2,500 scholarship:
Mr. Karim Henry of Frederiksted and a graduate of Complex High School this past summer as well as the valedictorian of class.
In addition:
$1000 of art supplies will be donated separately to both public schools, St. Croix Central High School & St. Croix Educational Complex. The donations will be made in the name of the Leo Carty Fine Arts Scholarship paying it forward to the youth of the VI in order to inspire the next generation of VI artist.
